I'm Didania Montero Ávalos, and I want to share a bit of my journey with you, from the beginning of my legal studies to becoming the Partner and Attorney-Notary public of LAM Legal, your strategic partner in Costa Rica.
I began my professional career working as an Accounting Assistant for the multinational company Corporación Agrícola del Monte, Pindeco Division, located in the southern region of the country. This experience allowed me to strengthen my administrative and accounting skills, supported by the Technical High School Degree in Accounting and Production Cost Management that I obtained during high school, from which I graduated with honors.

I am a graduate of Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and have been a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association since 2012. I subsequently developed my professional career within the Judicial Branch, specifically at the Criminal Court of Buenos Aires, Puntarenas, where I applied the criminal law knowledge acquired during my university studies while fulfilling judicial duties and responsibilities.

In 2016, I obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Notarial and Registry Law from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, ranking among the top three academic averages of the program. This postgraduate degree allowed me to expand my experience and knowledge in the notarial field, with the purpose of providing each client with better legal counsel in not only notarial transactions but also registry matters, both within and outside Costa Rican territory. Subsequently, in 2021, I was authorized as a Notary Public by the National Directorate of Notaries of Costa Rica.

For more than seven years, I have worked as an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public for different firms in the region, located in southern Costa Rica, where I also played a notarial role in real estate, commercial, and registry transactions, providing comprehensive legal advice and effective solutions to a diverse national and international clientele.

Thanks to the professional knowledge and experience acquired over the years, I have also served as a University Professor, teaching courses in various areas of Law, such as Insolvency Proceedings, Succession Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Commercial Law, among others. I have also acted as a Methodologist and Academic Advisor, supervising various student projects.

I am a person who enjoys tennis and soccer, as well as hiking, mountain landscapes, and cool weather. In my free time, I enjoy a good book accompanied by a glass of wine, documentaries on art or foreign cultures, and discovering new coffee shops while enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I'm Andrea Sequeira Duarte, and I want to share a bit of my journey with you, from the beginning of my legal studies to becoming the partner and Real Estate and Registry Transactions Manager of LAM Legal, your strategic partner in Costa Rica.
I am a billingual young woman originally from Bahía Ballena, a beautiful coastal community where I grew up and developed a deep-rooted connection to the local community. My childhood and youth were shaped by the values and principles instilled by my family, who taught me the importance of respect, responsibility, love for the environment, and good customs, which became the foundational pillars of my upbringing.
​
My personal growth coincided with the gradual development of the community, granting me a deep knowledge of the area and a special connection with my surroundings. My family has strong roots in the local business sector; therefore, from an early age, I developed a keen interest in the business world. Influenced by the environment in which I was raised, I decided to channel this interest by pursuing a professional degree in Business Administration. Subsequently, I chose to broaden my academic horizons and embarked on a Law degree.

Over time, I successfully combined my knowledge in Business Administration and Law, which led me to perform effectively in law firms. With six years of experience in this field, I have stood out for my specialization in due diligence processes, as well as for my ability to ensure the security of investments and transactions. This has allowed me to become highly skilled in the precise and meticulous evaluation of contracts and legal documents. Throughout the years, I have developed into a well-rounded professional, capable of providing effective solutions to complex legal situations.

Outside of my professional life, I am deeply committed to my community, actively participating in social and environmental initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in Bahía Ballena. My passion for helping others and my entrepreneurial spirit make me a valuable and essential member of this firm.
